Redbrige Beer by Anheuser-Busch
Truly a very good light beer! From the moment I tasted this beer it took me back to the time when I could enjoy a Bud-Light with friends. I would consider this my staple beer. I always have a few in the fridge. I would definitely cook with this beer!
Estrella Damm Daura
Estrella Damm Daura from Spain this is my favorite gluten free beer by far. Now again it is not a stout beer, but has a great flavor with little aftertaste. This beer is so close to the "real thing" that my husband drank two before I was able to run him off. This is one of the most expensive gluten free beers costing about $8.00 for a four pack four. This beer is made from barley malt but the gluten is striped away in the brewing process.
New Grist
New Grist is a sorghum and rice beer brewed in at Lakefront Brewery in Milwaukee Wisconsin. This beer is not bad tasting but does not taste a thing like beer. Maybe it has a hint of a Zima!
Bard's Gluten Free Beer
Bard's beer is another United States Sorghum beer brewed in New York. This beer has a better taste than than New Grist, more true beer flavor. The only downside is it has a somewhat fruity aftertaste.
Green
Right after I was diagnosed two years ago I went out and bought all three flavors of Green's Belgium Style gluten free beer. That is truly about all I remember. Enough said?
S'Peter Sorgham Beer
S'Peters Sorgham Pilsner Beer is brewed in the United Kingdom. This beer is truly a stout beer so I was not a huge fan. I guess you can take the Missouri away from the girl but the Bud-Light is another issue.
WoodChuck Hard Cider
Woodchuck Draft Ciders are all gluten free because they use apples not wheat, barely or rye in their brewing process. This drink was a bit sweet for me when I tried it. It is an option and we all like
options!
Sprecher Mbege Ale and Shakparo Ale
I have heard good things about Sprecher's gluten free beer. This brewing company is out of Glendale Wisconsin and they have two types of gluten free beer. One is Mbege Ale and the other is Shakparo Ale. These two beers are made not only with sorghum but millet and yeast as well. I will be at their restaurant/pub next month so I will let you know. I wonder if they have a gluten free menu?
